The Deer Trail Conservation District sells bird ladders that are used in stock tanks to allow wildlife to escape, decreasing the occurrence of animals falling into a coma after escape. The bird ladder is designed according to NRCS specifications and incorporates an expanded metal ramp allowing animals swimming the edge of the stock tank to find the ladder and escape. The ladders can be coated with industrial paint to minimize rusting.
